Form four students across Malawi are scheduled to start sitting for their MSCE examinations from June 22.

At least 34 pupils have failed to sit for the 2016 Primary School Leaving Certificate of Education (PSLCE) examinations in Ntcheu district, Capital FM has been learnt.

Despite being well versed of the pressure, tension and challenges that parents and guardians who cannot afford to pay hiked fees will face the minister of education is adamant that the unpopular move is going to aid the development of the sector in Malawi.

Around 170,000 registered candidates will be sitting for their Junior Certificate of Education (JCE) Examination from May 26 to June 5.
