The Malawi National Netball Team, the Queens have thrashed Fiji 67-52 in the ongoing Taini Jamison Trophy in New Zealand.
The Queens started their participation on a poor note yesterday, after suffering a 75-42 loss to the hosts.
The Fiji Pearls also lost 83-38 to Jamaica’s Sunshine Girls yesterday.
The Queens are participating in the competition as part of their preparations ahead of the Commonwealth games.
General Secretary of the Netball Association of Malawi Carol Bapu has told the local media that they are not losing hope with yesterday’s loss, saying they are using this tournament to assess the strength and weaknesses of players.
