This is an event that has been organised to commemorate this year’s World Poetry Day which falls on March 21.
Apart from poetry recitals, the free event had the visitors hosting a poetry workshop and partaking in some social work at the camp.
It has been put together by Sapitwa Poetry.
Speaking to Capital FM, one of the organisers of the event, Robert Chiwamba told capital fm that they were inspired when they visited the camp last year at the Tumaini Festival.
To add on that world poetry day celebrations have for a long time not been held in the country.
Among those reciting were Robert Chiwamba himself, Congolese Menes La Plum and Yolanda.
