Chairperson of the commission Anastanzia Msosa made a brief presentation of the findings, before presenting the report to President Mutharika on Saturday.
The commission observes that Chaponda’s involvement raises suspicions of corrupt practices, and has since recommended that the Anti-Corruption Bureau should do further investigations.
He is hanged mainly on his interaction with Trans globe produce Export Company.
President Mutharika who earlier claimed nothing wrong happened, is said to have been in disbelief upon receiving the findings.
The findings have also faulted ADMARC over how it handled procurement of the Maize from Zambia.
Speaking to Capital FM Mike Chinoko who served as Secretary for the commission confirmed the minster’s involvement and also that the ACB should take up the matter.
This comes a day after the supreme court of appeal vacated an injunction that was barring Chaponda from discharging ministerial duties.
