The Institute of chartered Accountants in Malawi (ICAM) has recognized three citizens in business and economic sectors as the most influential in the growth of the economy.

Members of the organization voted for the three individuals after carrying out a survey in the year 2013.

The Consumers Association of Malawi Executive Director John Kapito is top followed by the Chief Executive Officer of Business Consult Africa, Henry Kachaje.

Kachaje described his recognition by the organization as encouraging, inspiring as well as challenging.

Through his social media page on face book, Kachaje thanked all members of ICAM for placing him amongst great people such as Kapito as well as Thom Mpinganjira and Mathews Chikaonda.

Mpinganjira who is the chief executive officer for FDH group of companies and Chikaonda who is the Chief executive for Press Corporation were named joint third.
