Three die in Veep's convoy accident

Three people have died after a vehicle they were in collided with another which was part of the vice president Saulos Chilima’s convoy.

The accident occurred at Mtimaoyera near Phalula in Balaka district.

In a statement, Chilima’s Press Secretary Pilirani Phiri says the Veep is fine as he was not affected in any way.

One vehicle in the convoy collided with a Toyota Vits which had four people on board. Two people of them have since been rushed to hospital together with the driver of the vehicle on the convoy.
