Mobile phone and ICT service provider, TNM, is expressing confidence that it will close the year 2020 on a high despite the prevailing Covid-19 pandemic.

Financial figures released recently show that the company registered a post-tax profit of MK4.7 billion during the first half of the year ending 30 June 2020.

Apparently, the figure is lower than to a similar period last year as there has been a service percent drop in service revenue due to underperformance in voice revenue.

On a bright side, TNM Board Chairman George Partridge states that the telephone company’s data service revenue and Mpamba grew to 27 percent in the period under review.

Partridge stresses that even though they expect the Covid-19 induced economic woes to continue, there are positive prospects in the remaining quarter or so of the year.
