The second coming of Zambian gospel artist Pompi, to Malawi, is being described as an act that will bridge a gap between the two countries musically.

This is according to organisers of a live music video capture event dubbed Music in The Woods which is scheduled for the 30th of June at Woodlands Hotel in the capital, Lilongwe.

Born Chaka Nyathando, multi-award winning artist is a gospel musician born and raised in Zambia and has been active in the music industry for over a decade.

The organisers of the Music in The Woods show, Nthanda Artworks, believe Malawians will be thrilled with what they intend to offer.

“I am sure you have been to the woods before and organising the event in the woods means a combination of the peaceful environment from the woods with messages that musicians will be saying in their performances,” indicated Evans Chibade, Events Manager for Nthanda Artworks.

Chibade has further revealed that Pompi will be performing along with Blantyre based gospel artist Shammah Vocals, real name Shammah Storah, who is signed under Nthanda Artworks.

His involvement according to the events manager is to signify that Malawian artists are as great as any other artists and have the skills to reach higher grounds.

“Shammah Vocals is an upcoming artist and he is trending right now. It can be good to have a show with him alone but nonetheless combining that upcoming artist with big artists like Pompi brings a sense of good branding,” explained Chibade.

The organisers are thus promising Malawi based fans to Pompi and Shammah Vocals a good show that will break the barrier between Zambia and Malawi. They insist musicians from the two countries will in the near future be booked easily to perform either in Malawi or Zambia with the efforts they are putting through.

Under the promotion of Nthanda Artwork, another Zambian star, James Sakala, recently performed in Malawi and there are plans that Pompi will work on several projects with Malawian artists that include Shammah Vocals.

Shammah Vocals came into the limelight after the release of songs such as My Zoe, No Reverse and Only You.

Pompi on the other hand has been receiving international recognition for his outstanding gospel music.
