The statue of freedom fighter John Chilembwe has been chosen to be displayed at Trafalgar Square in London.
Antelope, a sculpture by Malawian born artist, academic and author Samson Kambalu, restages a 1914 photograph of Chilembwe and European missionary John Chorley.
It was picked from a shortlist of six artists. Chilembwe led the uprising in 1915 against colonial rule.
The statue will go on display next year and it will be followed by work by Mexican artist Teresa Margolles in 2024.
According to the BBC, the central London landmark has been home to artworks since 1998.
