Kabwe sent packing

Silver Strikers Football Club has parted ways with their Zambian Coach Daniel Kabwe and two other officials of the technical panel.

These are McDonald Mtetemera and McDonald Yobe.

The Club’s Chief Executive Officer Thokozani Chimbali could not divulge more information on the reasons for the dismissal of the technical panel.

Chimbali referred Capital FM to the Club’s Board of Trustees Chairperson Victor Madhlopa for a comment.

It is understood that the decision to fire the Zambian tactician and his supporting staff are due to their failure to meet the agreed targets.

Kabwe was reportedly tasked to win 24 of the 30 Super League matches and he has managed to win 14 games with 7 games remaining.

The development comes barely a day after Silver Strikers lost 2-1 to defending champions Nyasa Big Bullets at Kamuzu Stadium on Friday.

The former Lusaka Dynamos coach got the Bankers coaching job in January last year.

There were high hopes that his coming, together with Yobe and Mtetemera would help the bankers retain their lost glory.
