SULOM ponders on introduction of e-ticketing

The Super League of Malawi (SULOM) is hinting that it will adopt e-ticketing in the 2020/21 season due to start next week.

Aside from massive calls for the league administrators to switch to the new system, the move has also been influenced by the Covid-19 situation.

“As part of the Covid-19 protocols that we agreed with the government is to ensure that the tickets are purchased in advance and that they have to be electronic,” SULOM President Tiya Somba Banda said.

He added that, “Currently we are still working with all the partners to ensure that by the time we are starting on the 28th everything is in order.”

Meanwhile the local top flight league administrators have released all the fixtures for the first round with matches slated to begin on the 28 November and ending on 15 March next year.

Eight games have been lined up for action in the first week of the season with champions Nyasa Big Bullets launching their defense at the Kamuzu stadium against Blue Eagles.

Two re-promoted Malawi Defense Force sides, MAFCO FC and Red Lions will start their campaign at the Chitowe stadium on the first day of the campaign.
